Countdown to The European Elections: ALDE Manifesto and Lead Candidate

On March 21, the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) published their European Parliament elections manifesto titled “Your Europe, Your Freedom: Delivering Change for you”. The party, which sits as the Renew Europe group in the parliament, also nominated Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, from Germany’s Free Democratic Party (FDP), as its lead candidate to be the president of the European Commission.
